Huntsville police blotter
HUNTSVILLE, Alabama -- Unless otherwise noted, the following incidents were reported to Huntsville police Wednesday and Thursday. In items with incomplete addresses, police withheld the information:
North precinct
Arbor Drive: A wallet, debit card and driver's license were stolen from a home in the 2000 block between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday. The theft was not reported to police until Thursday.
Battlefield Drive: A home in the 3000 block was burglarized between 9 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. Two laptop computers and an antique rifle were stolen.
Hammonds Avenue: Police are investigating the death of a 25-year-old woman whose body was found at a home in the 2000 block about 7:20 a.m. Thursday. The woman was last known alive about 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Lantana Way: A vehicle parked at a home in the 700 block was broken into between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. Thursday. A 9 mm pistol, a Garmin GPS unit and assorted change were stolen.
Lavert Street: A 20-year-old woman was assaulted at a home in the 2100 block between 4 and 4:20 p.m. Tuesday. The report was not made public until Thursday.
