Steven Howard is tipping Manchester United for a 20th title
MANCHESTER UNITED dropped an incredible THIRTY TWO points away from home last season. And still Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal somehow failed to win the Premier League.
Their greatest crime was they didn't even offer a challenge as United, despite just five victories outside Old Trafford, took the title by nine points.
If their three closest rivals couldn't do it when United gift-wrapped them the opportunity, why should this season be any different?
It won't.
In fact, away form was the problem for all the clubs at the top in 2010-11. Which implies a certain lack of character in a league season that was one of the poorest on record.
Chelsea (W7, D5, L7) and Manchester City (W8, D4, L7) both tossed away points while, surprisingly enough, it was Arsenal (W8, D7, L4) who did best of all on the road - a tribute, no doubt, to their attacking football.
While Arsenal look as though they will finally drop out of the top four, Chelsea and City will improve.
