, A dark story of love lost and found, set in Hong Kong in the early 1960s. The designer wanted to bring both aspects of the film into the hair and makeup—mixing an Asian influence with trends from the 1960s to fit with the slightly moody, romantic clothes she created this season.

Hair stylist Jimmy Paul referenced the beehives of the 60s with his over-the-top, teased bouffants. "We want the hair HUGE!" he yelled to his team, piling it high up or way out to the sides. "I like to use a lot of product, which a lot of people are scared of," Paul said. "So we started off by spraying a ton of Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray onto dry hair until it was damp. Then we rough-dried the hair with the blow-dryer using our hands, giving us the foundation of the look, and making the teasing process much easier." Then in a furious whirlwind of back-combing, each model's hair went from flat to sky-high. The stylists used a rattail comb, and section by section, teased each piece starting at the root and working their way up to the tips. They then sprayed Bumble and Bumble Does It All Styling Spray all over before brushing the front down a bit to be able to create a side part. Paul then gathered the mound of hair at the base of the neck and started twisting. "Call it whatever you want but we're justing trying to get the hair up!" he explained. For the most part the style fell into two distinct categories: a french twist the boosted the hair or rolled underneath to create a wide faux-bob. Makeup Artist Lucia Pieroni went for soft, shimmery makeup. "The skin is not too powdery, not too shadowy, but very even. It's like porcelain, but not in terms of color, in terms of texture," she explained. On the eyes, she used a pastel palette from Clé de Peau's spring collection, applying a pearly pink shadow on to the lids with a damp brush. Next a supershimmery pink was dusted under the brow bones and in a C-shape around the eye sockets for a luminous highlighted effect.
