MTSU notebook: Beyah better on second day
On Monday, Beyah and senior cornerback T.L. Edwards were locked up for much of the practice, and it appeared that Edwards got the best of the senior receiver. Edwards batted down a few passes and beat out Beyah for an interception. But on Tuesday, Beyah looked re-energized, catching two 40-yard TD tosses from Logan Kilgore in 7-on-7 drills and hauling in some sideline passes in the team session.
Kilgore said Beyah lacks only consistency in becoming a difference-making wideout.
When Malcolm is turned on and fighting, Ill put him up against anybody. But sustaining it is the challenge, Kilgore said. He has the strongest hands on the team, and hes extremely fast. Its just the idea of getting it together at the right time.
Edwards said he likes to go against Beyah when hes at his best.
We just have good competition, Edwards said. Malcolm is a good receiver. He works me, and I work him. We both get better.
