Samuel G. Johnston, 61, of Amarillo died Wednesday, July 13, 2011.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Stinnett Cemetery in Stinnett with Brother Kenneth Gaines of Amarillo officiating. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.
Samuel was born March 19, 1950, in Guymon, Okla., to S.D. and Faye Johnston. He graduated in 1968 from Stinnett High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Sally; a son, Jim Bob Johnston of Perryton; two daughters, Jennifer Dorris and Heather McMann, both of Amarillo; a brother, Jim “JJ” Johnston and wife Judy and son Jerrod of Stinnett; a sister, Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Johnston of Las Vegas; two brothers-in-law, Hugh Parkinson of Las Vegas and Tommy Hall of Borger; five grandchildren, Caileigh and Tyler Johnston, both of Perryton, and Jayla Dorris and Shawn and Randy McMann, all of Amarillo; a stepson, Charles Creacy of Lexington, Ky.; and many nieces, nephews, friends and good neighbors.
