It’s one of the most anticipated ‘rising to the occassion’ moments. When the world was busy writing off our fashion sensibilities and our adherence to the kanjeevaram patterns, men have slowly but steadfastly redefined fashion contours for themselves, and with it, the way our fashion is perceived.
And they’ve even gone past the conservative mop and are sporting neon shaded streaks and a touch of pink in their accessories too.
A recent fashion show in the city even showcased hunky-looking models with blue, blonde and even green hair.
This speciality salon has been steadily seeing an increase in clients who want funky hairdos and even plan it to suit their wardrobe for an event.
“Cinema is a large medium and has influenced fashion lovers in a big way,” says stylist and designer Chaitanya Rao.
People like to emulate the stars and we can certainly see how mindsets have changed. Boys are willing to experiment and try everything new,” he adds.











And former barbers are calling in to renew their licenses after losing other types of jobs. "A barber manufactures what he sells, and we don't have to worry about [our customers] flying to China to get a haircut," Kirkpatrick said.
