Worcester man charged with kidnapping and assault

Prosecutor Jonathan Sahrbeck said the incident began Sunday morning when Alex Collins' girlfriend ended their five-month relationship.
That night around 11, the woman was in her bedroom at a Union Avenue apartment with her 2-year-old daughter when she heard a noise from another room. There she found Collins, who had broken in through a window, the prosecutor said.
"He said he wanted all of his property," said Sahrbeck. "She told him to leave, but he wouldn't."
The woman's cell phone rang and he ordered her to give it to him. She hid the phone and wouldn't reveal where it was.
Collins dragged her into the bedroom and threw her on the bed, the prosecutor said. "He started grabbing at her breasts to see if she hid the cell phone there," Sahrbeck said.
