I let my cat out and now it is very dirty, I don't have any cat shampoo, and I can't go and get any either because my parents aren't here. I'm thinking of using aloe vera shampoo because it's not so strong as the other ones I have, but I need to know if it's ok to use it.

I definitely would not. Cats need to be bathed in cat shampoo because they clean themselves with their tongues, and there could be chemicals in people shampoo that will make them sick. Unless your cat is dirty with something dangerous (anti-freeze, cleaning products, etc) I would just wait until your parents get home. If he's tracking dirt everywhere you could just *rinse* him off, but he won't like it...
